Upon completion of this course the participant will be able to:
• Identify the primary source of bad breath odors
• List the sulfur compounds most commonly associated with bad breath
• Identify systemic disorders and medications known to contribute to oral malodors
• Describe ways to assess patients’ oral malodor and rate the level of breath odor
• Be familiar with the various ingredients used to combat mouth odors in overthe-counter products
• Observe Professional Code of Conduct for the Dental Professional recommending bad breath treatments
